The icing on the cake of each room reveal
Meet Natalie. The baker and artist behind Sparx Bakery.
She’s the daughter of Savvy Giving By Design (SGBD) program director, Megan, and a custom-themed cupcake baking machine. It all started in 4th grade when she made her first dozen cupcakes for her teacher – a basket of apples.
Now a junior in college and she’s still baking up a storm, but for a cause. And her designs are ah-mazing. She creates everything from dragons to unicorns, and Rubik cubes to succulents.
In 2018, she turned her talents and artistry in baking towards fundraising for the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF), a cause her family has long been associated with. Later that same year, a family friend, Bronson Jacoway, heard about her efforts with SGBD and CAF, and he suggested a way to combine it all. He now makes a monthly donation to SGBD to make each room reveal extra special. In turn, Natalie creates cupcakes to match the room’s theme and colors. Custom cupcakes make every occasion feel elevated and the possibilities for each room reveal are endless.
What makes Natalie’s business truly exceptional (in addition to her impressive designs) is the fact that she donates all profits to CAF because she wants to give back. It’s a win-win-win scenario benefitting two non-profits – which support many of the same families – while also making the SGBD experience that much sweeter for these kids and their families!
