The Spring It Forward Initiative is a collaboration of 6 San Diego-based interior design firms to complete room makeovers for 3 families and a total of 9 children throughout San Diego County … all at the same time.

Natalie is the baker and artist behind Sparx Bakery. She’s also the daughter of the Savvy Giving By Design program director. She creates custom cupcakes to match each SGBD room’s theme and colors, to make the room reveal feel extra special for each child and their family.

Megan brings a broad portfolio of experience and empathy to her work at Savvy Giving. From raising three daughters of her own, supporting their extracurriculars, working in marketing, event planning and fundraising and now as a substitute teacher in the Poway Unified School District, she understands the needs of children and their families.

Cora is nonverbal and totally reliant on her caregivers, as she needs to be constantly monitored. Because of this, her bedroom is the open living area near the kitchen and her family wanted a room for her that felt more like a living space.

Stacy is a partner with Moms Making Six Figures where she helps women work from home to design the work life balance they so often seek. She has a corporate background as a CPA and auditor and is also a mom to 5 kids.

Jessica enjoyed a 12-year career as a criminal prosecutor, including 7 years as a deputy district attorney in San Diego’s family protection division. She recently decided to take time off to focus on raising her two kids and contribute to her local community through SGBD.

#GivingTuesday is a huge opportunity for our community of Savvy Givers to spread our SGBD mission far and wide! This year, our campaign is all about giving light in a dark time. We want to be the light for these kids who are facing hardships so early on in their lives.
